BURD Beatbox

Beatboxing masterclass with 2 time UK champs

Join Beatbox Champions, Bellatrix and Grace Savage, to learn the basics of beatboxing and dance around your living room as they bring their live set (as seen at Glastonbury, Shambala and WOMAD) to your home. A mixture of live individual performances and videos of their award-winning duo material.

Bellatrix and Grace Savage are BURD: the undefeated, two times UK Tag-Team Beatbox Champions.

Grace and Bel met in year 7, when they would get thrown out of class for being too loud together. In year 9 they started a band and shared their first stage experiences; Grace on guitar and Bel on bass. 10 years later, and both with blossoming careers as beatboxers (who also write and sing their own music), they decided to join forces as two of the only prominent women on the British beatboxing scene. The first female tag team to ever enter the UK champs. They made history and won. Twice in a row.

BURD are both dynamic and sensitive. Rowdy and gentle. They save a space at the table for sweet harmonies alongside their ground shaking beats.

Each an individual powerhouse in her own right, Grace and Bel come together as the quirky, loud, cheeky and lovable duo who love to challenge the status quo.
