Open Doors Music Sessions
'Open Doors is a free, Bi-monthly open access music session for 14-25 year olds, with an aim to be as inclusive as possible and welcome people that might feel anxious about attending a faster moving and more goal orientated environment.'
Running alongside our weekly Next-Gen Sounds program we are offering the Open Doors session as a way into Trinity centre and music making for people who might find the idea of going straight into music creation daunting or unattainable.
The main focus of the sessions will be to make people feel at ease in the space, we will have a large breakout space equipped with pens and paper for writing down any ideas, lyrics, poems or drawing.
There will be hot and cold drinks and snacks on offer in this space too.
Each person will then get their own time of 15 mins in one of the music making spaces to explore the sounds in the space just on their own, or with a support worker or friend.
Our live music room and our recording studio will be open during the sessions and available to access in small groups or individually to introduce people who may be interested in the facilities we have here but don't want to participate in large group activities.
We endeavour to welcome people of all abilities and experience if you have any questions about access requirements or any other queries please contact Trinity Centre.
Play drums, guitar, bass, keyboard, sing, rap, DJ, or make a beat with production equipment. Try your hand at singing or rapping in a studio, or learning about the equipment that's used to make music!
