Murmuration Choir

Tonight we share a 1 hour mid-winter sound bath concert, featuring Bristol-based contemporary vocal project Murmuration Choir, with yoga nidra led by yoga teacher Elena Byers. This is an opportunity to take a break from the holiday chaos and immerse yourself in the healing sound of vocal harmony, spoken word, interwoven with improvised and composed circle song, looped soundscapes from beatboxer Jack Salt, and re-imagined contemporary choral pieces that explore sleep, dreams, meditation, and the parasympathetic nervous system. You do not need to do anything but lie down on a yoga mat and be charged by a warm cocoon of voices, in the beautiful setting of Trinity Centre's Fyfe Hall.

Elena will lead participants through some very gentle, accessible yoga movements to allow you to settle in fully in and out of relaxation, and there will be opportunity to join us in simple sound making to reawaken you back into a refreshed state, ready to face the demands of the holiday season. We invite you wear something comfortable, and bring extra layers, big socks, blankets and a cushion to keep you warm and cosy. Herbal teas will be available from the Trinity bar afterwards.

There will be three sessions, the times are:

• 6:30pm - 7:30pm
• 8pm - 9pm
• 9:30pm - 10:30pm
