Lottery support for Jacobs Wells revamp
Trinity has been awarded a development grant from The National Lottery Heritage Fund towards the next phase of works as part of our ambitious restoration project to save Jacobs Wells Baths
As a Trustee of Trinity, Fidel brings a wealth of expertise in architecture, heritage, and community engagement. He joined the board in 2017, inspired by the ambitious restoration works project for the Grade II* listed Trinity Centre as a vibrant cultural hub.
Since then, he has played a crucial role in shaping strategic decisions that balance the preservation of the building with the contemporary needs of the community, ensuring it remains a space for creativity, inclusion, and social impact.
Fidel is also an academic in architecture at UWE Bristol, where his teaching and research encompass architectural theory, heritage conservation, and the cultural aspects of space and place. He actively contributes to discussions about the social value of architecture and community-led regeneration, advocating for the meaningful reuse of heritage sites to serve public needs while maintaining their historical significance.
Additionally, he serves as a trustee of a community land trust, which underscores his commitment to securing land and heritage assets for the benefit of the community in the long term.
